Speedtest : -
Speedtest is a broadband speed analysis tool that allows anyone to test their Internet connection. It helps to view all of your historical results, share them easily, and even compare them to others in your immediate area or around the globe. Speedtest uses a technology which performs over one million tests every day, making it the world-wide standard in bandwidth testing. You can use speedteas at no cost, anyone can use our World Results section to browse top bandwidth speed by country, or narrow down statistics to very specific locations.
Pingtest : -Pingtest will show the specific packet loss, ping and jitter values that make up your grade. When it is unable to measure one or more of them you will see a grade of N/A. You test result will be indicated with grades like A, B, C, D, E & F…
A Indicates - An excellent result! Expect all Internet applications to work very well assuming you have sufficient bandwidth. Use Speedtest to see. MOS greater than 4.37 (Example - a ping below 50 ms with 0% packet loss)
B Indicates - Very good! Your connection should work well for any Internet application. Some online games may not perform optimally. MOS between 4.28 and 4.37 (Example - a ping around 90 ms with 0% packet loss)
C Indicates - Acceptable. Your VoIP quality will suffer some, and you will have a disadvantage in many online games. Most streaming media will be fine. You should try testing again to another server close to you. MOS between 4.00 and 4.27 (Example - a ping around 150 ms with 1% packet loss)
D Indicates - Concerning. Most online applications will not perform well but should function in some capacity. Try testing to other servers to verify the result. You might need to contact your ISP for help. MOS between 2.50 and 3.99 (Example - a ping around 300 ms with 3% packet loss)
F Indicates - Very Poor. Real-time Internet application performance will suffer greatly on such a connection. Test to other servers to confirm the result, but definitely talk to your ISP about troubleshooting the issue. MOS lower than 2.50 (Example - a ping above 500 ms with 20% packet loss).
Know more about Pinging test : -
Packet Loss is the percentage of data "packets" sent to a server that never arrive. Anything above 0% should cause concern since it could result in poor quality Voip and sluttering in online games.
Ping is how long it takes a "packet" of data to travel from your computer to a server and back.Delayed response in internet applications would be due to a higher than desired ping. A lower ping value is a preffered one.
Jitter is the variance in successive ping measurements. A perfectly stable connection would have no jitter. A lower value is the best results but some jitter is to be expected over the internet.
